if january wasn’t my birthday month, i don’t think I would be really into it tbh.😅
for me this year, even with my birthday excitement, this month has felt on hard mode. so just to let you know, I have successfully rebranded it as a “trial month” and been selling february as the new january.
sharing everything I loved that helped me stay sane and keep going this month.
📚reading
Waking Up: A Guide to Spirituality Without Religion
I have called myself spiritual without really knowing what it means lol. so it was about time I read a little into it. so far, it is what I thought it was but now I just have the language to talk about it.
Finding Ultra: Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the World's Fittest Men
I swear you haven’t landed in some white-tech-longetivity-guy’s reading list 😭
but I wanted to read this one because he did it on an all vegan diet. skipped a few chapters but overall loved the key takeaways.
Slow Dance - if you are into long-term friends turn lovers trope like I am, you will love this one!! very similar to Love, Rosie vibes.
(I have a few tech/AI stuff that I have been fiddling with too - I will include them maybe next month.)
📺 watching
Love Island All Stars: It’s a UK reality dating show and I am really into it, without apologies.
Molly Mae’s YT channel: an OG love island byproduct, she is now building her “empire” but her youtube is a breath of fresh air. she is doing long-form companion content right!
🎧listening
emma chamberlain x kendall jenner podcast: I know very little of emma and lot on kendall. found their chat very chilled and good vibes.
I am in bit of a slump when it comes to listening to podcasts, so not many recs for this time!
🧚 doing
sticking with my micro-habits: I haven’t taken up any big lofty resolutions this year but just been leaning on my habits and they have carried me this last month. sleeping on time, squeezing in a morning walk, writing in my journal - nothing major, just small stuff.
climbing my cringe-mountain: it’s been hard talking about my writing or youtube channel online and IRL. like a big part of me is like omg-this-is-giving-cringe. I have no tips for you yet other than telling you it’s cringe and it’s a big mountain, and I am climbing it and you can too.
📹 on YT this month
talked about why I started this channel last time, and here are the videos I made this month.
